Because of losses in 1943 the "Night Attacker" version of the JU-87 was developed. Used mainly on the Eastern front, these bombers needed fighter support to be successful. JU - 87D's had 1,500 hp engines, wing mounted machine guns and various cannons. This 2 seat dive bomber attained a max speed of 260 mph and had a range of 1,000 miles. 4,000 Ibs of bombs is the standard load of this
