The RNLI are one of the United Kingdoms’ most treasured organisations, with volunteers forming the beating heart of this amazing, life-saving, British treasure. RNLI lifeboat crews and lifeguards protect thousands of people, in hundreds of communities around the UK and Ireland, supported by a plethora of shore-based volunteers, each with the same ambition, saving lives at sea. The RNLI even work globally to raise awareness and implement life saving interventions to prevent unnecessary international drownings. The RNLI’s fleet is made up of a variety of different vehicles and 350 lifeboats around the UK and Ireland.
